Liz Vanderbrouk, the founder of The Speech Therapist Switzerland, earned her Master of Arts in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Houston. Liz has over ten years of experience, including working with both monolingual and multi-lingual clients.

With her Speech and Language Pathology degree, Liz has expert knowledge regarding the anatomy and physiology of speech movements as well as the importance of suprasegmental properties, including stress, rhythm, and intonation, and the vital influence they have on pronunciation. Clients will become empowered to utilize this knowledge in their accent modification sessions to neutralize and modify their speech.

In addition to her speech background, Liz is certified to teach English as a second language, having earned the CELTA (Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) in 2018. As part of that program, Liz designed lessons for both pre-intermediate and intermediate level individuals targeting English language skills and focusing on accurate and natural pronunciation.
